A new voice for city council! We need strong leadership in the City of Sacramento to weather the years ahead. This is a time that demands energy and a resolve to make hard choices, seize opportunities, and push this city forward.
I am running for the District 5 City Council seat to create a new focus in our city government. Well before this economic crisis, our city struggled to make decisions and build the confidence of its citizens. We can't run our city like a school board or the state government. We must focus on three things: accountability, results, and decisive leadership.
I am a small business owner, a lifelong Democrat, a father, a volunteer, a husband, a homeowner, and a proud Sacramentan. I’ve been a single parent, a child without a father, a forklift driver, a company president, a coach, a janitor, a renter, and a landlord in this city. I don't carry disabling allegiances to other politicians, real estate developers, police or fire unions, city businesses, to civil service unions.
This campaign is about reconnecting our city hall to its disregarded citizens. Based on media and city attention, it can seem as if the boundaries of Sacramento form an awkward triangle running from K Street to The Railyards to Natomas, while a hundred thousand residents are underserved. I'm running to change that.
Please dig into some of my information in this website and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
